Free crochet candy cane ornament pattern

crochet candy cane ornament (2)
My favorite crochet christmas ornament is the crocheted candy cane ornament. Of course, red and white yarns are preferred, but you can use different colored yarns. For example, pink and white will look great. This crochet candy cane ornament is quite easy. Even a beginner crocheter can do it without any difficulty. Hanging your own ornaments on your Christmas tree will always make it more fun and special. You can also consider giving these crochet Christmas ornaments to your friends as a gift.

Loop for hanging

Make a chain of 18 leaving long tails in both sides.
Sew and secure on top of your candy so you can hang it on your christmas tree.

Finishing touches

When you are done your little plushie will look something like this.
In order to make it look more curved take the yarn you left at the end of round 22 and with you needle tight it on the other side of the candy cane so it looks like it’s stuck.
Secure and hide the yarn in the plushie.
If you prefer that look you can leave it as it is.

And you are done!
