I’m addicted to making blankets, and I think most of the charm lies in finding a model that feels good a great deal throughout the making process. The act of crocheting on a neat row of gorgeous colors is so peaceful and relaxing that I don’t want it to end. However, it’s pretty awesome to end up with a nice blanket at the end of the trip.
This pattern uses only one crochet stitch – Treble Crochet (it’s called Double Crochet in the US). An incredibly simple yet very effective mixed strip using two rows of crochet for each color. Its simplicity (too little counting or pattern reading!) makes it an extremely enjoyable project, and is especially suitable for the colder months of the year when you can relax while working and enjoy the cozy warmth of the blanket on your lap. . The rows grow satisfactorily quickly and the simple stitch mix creates a beautiful surface texture. Make a versatile blanket, as they say here in Yorkshire.

As you know I really enjoy designing c2c crochet projects and I think this soft and cozy baby blanket pattern is great for beginners. I used a bulky yarn that stretches the quilt quickly, and I was very pleased that the Premier Puzzle yarn glided smoothly down my hook.
