I wanted the stitch lines to run vertically instead of horizontal, so I made my base chain have a long hat instead of a wide one.

Hello crochet friends and happy birthday! At the beginning of December, I found a cozy Buttercream Cozy thread at the Joanns store, so I spent my Christmas holidays to make hats for my sisters :).

I wanted to challenge myself and learn something new, so I tried my mom’s front crochet spiral hat and it was much easier than I thought! I used a much larger hook, and in the last three rows I switched to the back crochet of the loop to give the edge a ribbed edge, I made the hat in exactly the same way.

I created a small simple hat that can be made to match the Camping Stripe crochet blanket. Isn’t it so cute?
And because I like it very simple and straightforward, you basically make the hat like the blanket. I’m not kidding. Here is a picture of the hat just before finishing the wing and sewing the sides and putting the top together:

If you have made the blanket and know how to work the border, this is very easy! All you need is the dimensions of the head for which you will do it. All I did for the hat is to make the squares a little smaller. I thought it looked better for a hat. I used exactly the same edge for the edge of the hat. This is a posterior loop that is only woven in half in half. There is a complete video tutorial on the roof in which I demonstrate how to do it.

Spiral Front Loop Single Crochet Hat Free Pattern

I have a really simple and newbie hat pattern for you! It worked in the round, so there are no seams. I really like a seamless hat. I use a single crochet stitch on the front loop for the entire project. So, if this is the only crochet stitch you know, you can do it!

This is done with thick and bulky 5 peso yarn. I used Bernat Roving because it has a smooth and matte finish that I really like. I have not experimented with other 5-peso threads, but I suspect you will get similar results. If you are using a 4-peso yarn, I think it is a hat for children. (But that’s an assumption, I haven’t made any with this thread yet.)
