Crochet Easter Basket Pattern 2021

Here are some beautiful baskets with thick, densely stitched edges that are tough enough to stand up on their own and are great for holding the yarn and stuff you need for the current project you’re working on. In addition, these baskets are beautiful in their own right and will be a decoration for your home that you can proudly display. Also… gifts, anyone?!

It is impossible to buy for my father. He has everything. Seriously. He is always kind, but not the type of person who has too many wishes in life and can make gift giving really difficult. This year, I decided to design a crocheted jute basket model. Super easy and so much fun

The Mini Basket is a simple crochet bowl with a thickened rim and looped handle. A beautiful, simple design will be great for crochet items as well as toiletries and other small items. It’s also a fun and easy project to do, so you can make one for every corner in the house.

I packed 2 movies, some microwave popcorn, and two mini bottles of wine in it. I’ll be honest… the mini wine bottles came in a 4-pack… two of which may have been accidentally consumed by a certain crocheter. Sip. Well… you know what they say… give what you love. And I love this crochet jute basket.

Lansdowne Basket

Materials List

Yarn: Any weight yarn you choose! I used 129 yards of Lion Brand Yarn Vanna’s Choice in Dusty Blue for the Blue basket and 215 yards of Loops and Threads Camden Wool Big! in green for the large basket.
Hook: Use a hook a few sizes smaller than what is recommended on the yarn sleeve. This ensures a sturdier basket. I used a G (4.25 mm) hook for the Blue basket and a J (6 mm) hook for the Green basket.
Measuring tape.
Tapestry needle.
Scissors.
Stitch Marker.

This pattern is so funny! It uses simple HDC stitching to create this incredible texture and the size is easily customizable. I made two samples using the same pattern and got two different results! The worsted yarn and G hook gave me a smaller basket perfect for my plant-filled plates. Also, 4 skeins hold yarn very well! For the latter I used a very bulky yarn and a J-hook. This basket is huge! Perfect for storing my yarn, storing toys on the floor, or storing guest towels in the bathroom.
