Maja cardigan Pattern

Maja is a short cardigan with a yoke and a modern flair. As with many traditional puffer sweaters, the main yoke pattern echoes on the cuffs and underside of the sweater, but with unusually long motifs. The body and arms are knitted in a round shape. The motif is knitted by combining on a single needle in the armholes. The neckline ends with a few short rows to raise the back. The cardigan is sewn, stitches are taken from the edges and button bands are knitted. It was designed by the Icelandic-French designer and author Hélène Magnússon, who organized popular hiking and knitting tours in Iceland.

Gauge: Approx. 18 stitches and 24 rnds in stockinette on needles 4,5 mm = 10 x 10 cm
